MAYOR’S OFFICER and CITY MARSHAL

Responsible for assisting the Mayor, escorting the Mayor to and from engagements, the Civic Plate, the Liveried Men and the Civic Parades.
There’s no set time when the Mayor’s Officer is available as the post is dependent on Mayoral engagements, including evenings and weekends.

LIVERIED MEN
The Liveried Men are made up of one Sword Bearer and six Mace Bearers. They are called to wait upon the Mayor at Civic Events and Ceremonies. In addition, the Sword Bearer precedes the Mayor on their entrance and exit of Full Council.
