Meet your Mayor

Parties are very welcome to visit the Mayor’s Parlour and Hereford Civic Museum at Hereford Town Hall by prior appointment through the Mayor’s Secretary. For full booking and tour guidance please refer to booking pack available to download below.

The visit will cover the history of the City of Hereford and its ancient Mayoralty, with an opportunity to see the historic treasures and art works held in the Mayor’s Parlour as well as the Royal Charters (dating from 1189) and the Civic Silver held in the Civic Museum.

The tour of both the Mayor’s Parlour and the Civic Museum is free of charge however, visiting groups and organisations are encouraged to donate to the Mayor’s Charity.

Ideal tour party visitor numbers

To the Parlour is 20 adults or 25 children

The Civic Museum will only accommodate up to 10 adults or 13 children at a time in comfort, so some parties will need to be split into groups to visit the Heritage Suite. Larger visiting parties can be accommodated by arrangement.
