The City Council currently operates two public toilets at East Street and Union Street where there is a charge of 20 pence. This helps cover the cost of cleaning and supplies. There are still some free public toilets in the City, but Herefordshire Council are looking to pass these over to the City Council or close them. If we take more toilets on they will be fitted with coin operated locks. The City Council does not receive any grant or subsidy from Herefordshire Council for taking on the toilets, we are doing it because we believe they are vital to supporting the City centre and giving visitors a pleasant experience of coming to our City.
